2014 race for Ralya
Casey Kern and Ann McCarthy work at the Therapy Institute treatment table during the 2014 race for Ralya. And yes, it was as cold as it looks!
On February 6th , 2014, the Therapy Institute celebrated its 25 year anniversary. Thanks to our staff and loyal patients for allowing us to achieve this milestone!
A little history of the Therapy Institute:
Founded by Casey Kern PT, the physical therapy practice is the second oldest private practice in Lansing and the oldest operating under one name. They provide outpatient orthopedic physical therapy services to the greater Lansing area. Partners now include Casey Kern, Chris Strickler and Steve Houghton.
The practice sees patients with various orthopedic problems such as neck and back pain, shoulder problems, sports injuries, joint replacements, arthritic problems, sprains and strains and TMJ problems.
Since 1989 the Therapy Institute has made it a point to be heavily involved in the Haslett community. They have supported Haslett schools through contributions to the band, choir, soccer, lacrosse and swim teams. They have provided academic scholarships to the high school. They strongly support the Foundation for Haslett schools through yearly financial contributions. The office is active with Toys for Tots, Relay for Life and the Haslett Food Bank. They participate in an injury clinic at a local running store.

What Our Patients are Saying
"Thank you for caring for three generations of my family. The respect and expertise your staff extends to your clients is very much appreciated."
"I had an awesome experience at The Therapy Institute. I fractured my shoulder in four places, and had surgery to repair it. Before this incident, I had never had any type of injury. Needless to say, I was incredibly nervous for my first appointment. From the first day, everyone made me feel welcome, comfortable, and at ease. After 16 weeks of therapy, I am truly sad to be finished."

Community and Office Happenings
2013 Race for Ralya
The 5th annual Race for Ralya in October saw the Therapy Institute once again participate as a sponsor. Chris and Steve manned a treatment table for pre and post race assistance. Chris even walked the 5K race - and we believe she was the first walker to finish! Great job Chris!

We have a new bike rack!
The Therapy Institute has added a bike rack received through a generous grant from the Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council. Riding a bike to work and therapy is in line with our commitment to encouraging regular exercise for us and our patients. As a local Green Star business we also look forward for ways to further our commitment to environmental business practices.
The Therapy Institute has received The Outcomes Excellence Award from
